Deliver your freebie file from comments

Freebie delivery from comments

By inro.social

Overview

Automate the delivery of a freebie (e.g., cheat sheet) when someone comments the keyword CHEATSHEET on your Instagram post. The workflow uses a DM-based opt-in with a confirmation step and a file delivery, saving a copy to a folder for tracking.

How it works

• Trigger: A comment on the next post containing the keyword CHEATSHEET starts the flow. Replies to the comment are sent as DM messages with one of these variants:
  • Sent, check your DMs
  • Just sent it to your DMs
  • It's in your DMs now 🙂
• Opener: After the reply, a button template with the prompt 'Want the cheat sheet? Tap below and it's yours.' appears. The user can tap Yes, send it (postback) and the button expires in 6 hours.
• Delivery: On postback, the automation sends the file with a download button labeled Download it.
• Storage: The delivered file is added to folder 11257 (action: add).
• Customization: Adjust keywords, reply variants, expiry, and the file asset as needed.

When to use

• Freebie delivery via comments to capture leads
• Automate warm follow-up and delivery without manual messages
• Gate the file behind a simple opt-in in comments

Tips

• Test with a private post to verify the flow
• Ensure the file is uploaded and accessible
• Update the folder ID or asset as your workflow changes
