IG to YouTube: Comment Promo

By inro.social

Overview

This automation converts IG comment engagement into YouTube views using a comment-triggered DM flow. When a follower comments a keyword on the next post, they receive a sequence that invites them to watch the latest video.

How it works

• Trigger: comment on the next post containing the keyword FULLVIDEO (case-insensitive) activates the flow.
• Reply: automatic comment responses from the IG account, e.g. “Sent the video to your DMs,” “Check your DMs for the video,” “Just sent it to your DMs 🙂”.
• Prompt: a button card with the text “Want the full video? Tap below and it's yours.” and a single postback button “Yes, send it” (expires in 6 hours).
• Lead capture: a conversion link titled “Latest video” appears, expiry 2 hours, URL to the video page.
• Organization: upon click, the video is added to folder 11261 for easy tracking.
• Follow-up: if the link isn’t opened, a reminder message “Have you checked the link yet?” is sent.

When to use

• Grow YouTube views by turning IG comments into video watch sessions.
• Promote a new video or your channel by leveraging engagement on posts.

Setup tips

• Customize the keyword and expiry times to fit your cadence.
• Test with a private post before going live.
• Ensure compliance with platform policies when sending DMs.
